Our Top Card Writing Tips!
The hardest part about writing a card is getting started, so let’s make it simple.
First think of someone you want to write to.
Think about:
- What do you appreciate most about them in life?
- What makes them significant to you?
- What ways have you seen them grow since you have known them?
- If you could only speak to them one more time, what would you tell them?
- What is something you would like to read again and again?
Then brainstorm what you want to say Sometimes this helps writing this on a scrap piece of paper. Figure out what you want to say to them. Sometimes reading it out loud helps!
Second step, find a card that will hold your thoughtful and heartfelt words.
(We can always help with finding cards!)
And write your message!
Final step!
Try to surprise them with the card, snail mail is great (we hardly get snail mail now!) Or putting it on their desk, or on their pillow, or in their lunchbox, or hand it as you leave their presence etc.
Top tip.
Imagine when they read your card.
Imagine when they read your card again in a random time, space or place.
